Integrated Sports Medicine Movement Analysis Laboratory

Greater than half of the U.S. population annually report musculoskeletal injury/issues as a primary health concern and most of these individuals receive treatment for musculoskeletal injury/issues.

The Integrated Sports Medicine Movement Analysis Laboratory (ISMMAL), directed by Jeff Seegmiller, Ed.D., is the applied research facility for the Department of Movement SciencesWWAMI medical education, and the Athletic Training Programs. The research conducted focuses on identifying mechanisms of injuries, potential risk factors, preventative strategies and treatment for musculoskeletal injury. The work performed in this space is often collaborative research projects involving faculty members and students from athletic training, biomechanics, exercise science, neuroscience and WWAMI medical education programs.
